In 2011, Korea Economic Institute (KEI) launched a program series entitled Korea Compass to examine Korea’s engagements around the world. As Korea becomes increasingly involved in international affairs and develop a unique role in the world,Korea Compass series will analyze Korea’s activities and interests abroad with a special focus on development issues. Korea’s international role and its impact on U.S.-ROK relations will also be evaluated.
In the upcoming months in 2012-2013, the Korea Compass series will cover Korea’s relations with Africa, Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia. Each session will result in a short paper to be compiled into an online Korea Compass publication for KEI’s website.
