Korea-China Forum

For much of the period after the Korean War formal diplomatic relations only existed between China and North Korea. However, with the opening of diplomatic ties between China and South Korea in 1992 the Sino-Korean relationship has grown significantly and changed the larger dynamic on the Korean peninsula.

The Korea-China Forum, co-sponsored by KEI and the Project 2049 Institute, seeks to explore the changes brought about by the deepening of ties between China and the two Koreas and provide a greater understanding of the growing challenges and opportunities that the relationship presents through an analysis of strategic considerations, economic interdependence, and regional security.
