On June 30, 2007, the United States and Korea signed the most significant agreement between the two nations since the signing of the Mutual Defense Treaty in 1953.

With the broadening of the U.S.-Korea relationship beyond its historical security ties, the KORUS FTA would open doors of economic opportunity for both nations. The KORUS FTA Resource Center is designed to collate research, data, news, and other information about the FTA in one convenient location for those interested in learning more about this landmark agreement between the United States and Korea.
