JOINT U.S.-KOREA ACADEMIC STUDIES...
This yearly publication compiles the edited and revised versions of papers presented at our most recent Academic Symposium. KEI cosponsors these symposia annually with KIEP and a major university, at that university, on a topic of significance to Korea and the region. The target publication date is three months following the applicable symposium.
Our most recent symposium was held in September 2008 at New York University on the topic, "Shifting Strategic & Diplomatic Relations with the Koreas ." It comprised 9 papers presented over five panels. The panels covered DPRK issues, U.S. Military Alliances and strategic relationships with Korea and Japan, the future of the KORUS FTA, and economic ties between Korea and Japan.
