Sarah Howe joined the Korea Economic Institute in June 2007 as Executive Assistant and Office Manager. In September 2009 she was promoted to Associate Director for Programs.

In her current position, Ms. Howe is responsible for the logistical planning and execution of all KEI events and programs. Beginnning with a program's inception, she manages details such as venue selection, invites, flight, hotel and catering arrangements; day-of event operations; and post-program evaluation. Interns are an integral part of KEI's mission, and Ms. Howe manages three classes of interns a year. As KEI's internship coordinator, she is in charge of the competitive selection process and management of the program (including orientation, projects, career development, and evaluation).

Ms. Howe graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fairfield University in May 2007 with a B.A in History and minors in Asian Studies, Classical Studies, and Art History . She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa her junior year. While at KEI, she participated in a three week intensive Korean language program at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

Ms. Howe’s interests include Asian history and cultural studies, social histories, science and technology, travel, and ballroom dancing.
