 Scott Snyder is director of the Center for U.S.-Korea Policy and a Senior Associate of Washington programs in the International Relations program of The Asia Foundation. He joined The Asia Foundation as country representative of Korea in January 2000 and moved to the Washington office in April 2004. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Snyder was an Asia specialist in the Research and Studies Program of the U.S. Institute of Peace. In 1999, he was a recipient of the Abe Fellowship, a research fellowship administered by the Social Sciences Research Council. Mr. Snyder also previously served as acting director of the Contemporary Affairs Department of The Asia Society. He holds a B.A. from Rice University and an M.A. from the Regional Studies East Asia Program at Harvard University. Mr. Snyder was a recipient of a Thomas G. Watson Fellowship and attended Yonsei University in South Korea.
 See-Won Byun is Research Associate with the Center for U.S.-Korea Policy at The Asia Foundation’s Washington DC office. She is also a non-resident Kelly Fellow of Pacific Forum CSIS. Previously, she assisted research for the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and provided program support to the Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies at The Brookings Institution. She was a Brent Scowcroft Award Fellow of the Aspen Institute's Aspen Strategy Group in spring 2007. She currently co-writes the China-Korea section of Comparative Connections, a quarterly publication of Pacific Forum CSIS. Ms. Byun received a B.A. in economics from Brown University, an M.A. in Chinese Area Studies from Yonsei University, and an M.A. in international affairs from The George Washington University.
